Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, loses elder brother Sunday Makinde to the cold hand of death on Friday morning, January 24, 2025.
In a heartfelt message announcing the loss, Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde, the Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland and Head of the Aigbofa Family of Oja’ba, Ibadan, shared the sad news of his older brother’s passing.
He wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of my brother, Engr Sunday Makinde’s journey to eternal rest today, Friday, January 24th, 2025.”
“His sudden death occurred in his Ibadan residence at 3:20 am today, Friday, 24th January 2025.”
“He is survived by siblings, among whom is the executive governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, children, and grandchildren.”
